Frequently asked questions
How does credit-based billing work?
Winston charges a flat monthly subscription plus AI credits consumed by your agents. Every chat message and autonomous agent pass deducts credits based on actual LLM token usage — not how long campaigns run.
Can I bring my own API key?
Yes. Connect your API key in Settings. Agents run through your provider account at your rates — Winston only charges the $15/mo platform fee and does not deduct included credits.
Are ad account connections limited?
On the paid plan, every workspace gets unlimited connected ad accounts. During the free trial you can connect one ad account plus up to two other integrations (or up to three non-ad integrations if you skip ad accounts).
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes — 7 days with included AI credits, no credit card required. Trial workspaces have integration limits (see above). Add a payment method anytime during or after the trial to unlock unlimited ad accounts and continue on the paid plan.
What happens when I run out of credits?
Agents pause until your monthly credits reset or you add a payment method for overages. You can also connect your own API key so inference bills to your provider account instead.
